On December 21, 2023, The Science and Technology Park in Niš hosted the 7th Forum of Advanced Technologies, a prestigious event that brought together experts from the IT industry and entrepreneurship sectors.
The forum featured panels, workshops, and lectures that explored the key transformations shaping these dynamic fields. Organized in collaboration with partners such as the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovations, the National Employment Service, the Society of Economists, and the NICat cluster, this year’s event boasted a dynamic program contributing to the success of the forum.
The focal point of the meeting was on innovative solutions and strategies that could foster the development of the innovation ecosystem, with a specific emphasis on the practical aspects of entrepreneurship in the digital age.
One notable aspect of the forum was the active participation of the UR-DATA project team members. The team seized the opportunity to engage with policy makers, business representatives, and academia members present at the event for dissemination purposes. Their involvement underscored the project’s commitment to reaching a broader audience and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders.
Professor Jelena Stankovic, the UR-DATA project coordinator, took on the role of moderator for the panel titled “Transformation of High Education as a Dominant Factor of Shaping Innovation Ecosystems.” The panel featured experts from the Research and Development Institute for AI in Serbia, local policy makers, representatives from non-governmental organizations, and business leaders. The panel discussion, led by Prof. Stankovic, provided valuable insights into the crucial role of education in shaping innovation ecosystems. The diverse perspectives offered by the panelists contributed to a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the rapidly evolving landscape of technology and entrepreneurship.
